DrumObsession 20th Birthday with El-B & KEMAL (Classic Set)

We still can't believe it's been two decades in the game for us... No words can describe neither our gratitude for the story so far, nor our excitement for what's yet to come for us. As always - the music will do the talking for us best. On our 20th Birthday we will have the honour of hosting two legendary and fundamental artists in their respective genres. EL-B and KEMAL will play their Poznań debut that night! El-B, with his bass-heavy, oftentimes dark and broken UK garage sound (both solo, as well as in the Groove Chronicles duo years back, and then with his Ghost project and label), laid foundation to what would eventually become dubstep. Artists such as Burial, Skream or Benga all cite him as their massive influence. His musical versatility doesn't just stop at these slower tempos though, as we will have a chance to hear his faster productions clocking in between 150-160 BPM, with which El-B wowed us at this year's Outlook Festival. Kemal - best known as half of the seminal duo Konflict - remains one of drum & bass’s most influential innovators. His early releases, including 'Messiah', 'Beckoning', 'The Mummy', and 'Bleed', helped define the sound of techstep and neurofunk, setting a creative benchmark that shaped the genre’s evolution. After taking a break from music for several years, he returned in 2019 with new energy and a fresh perspective. Specially for us, Kemal will play a set chock-full of his classic productions, which still shake dancefloors around the world to their core and continue to inspire new generations of producers. In a rare occurrence, our entire DrumObsession crew will appear on supporting slots across both rooms, together with our good friends who have been close to us for many years now (Heather Helix, Monster, MSHK, Overthink). That night we celebrate friendship based on music, which has kept us all together. As always at DO, we eagerly await the reunion with our extended DrumObsession Family, from both Poznań and beyond. All signs point towards this being the only chance to catch us in our home club of Schron this season! Do not sleep on our massive milestone event, see you all on Saturday the 24th of October in the usual spot - in front of the speakers.
