Every Industry Is About to Get Its AlphaFold Moment | Warsaw Mathathon @ Kogito Tech Cafe

Radna 6/8, Warsaw

Part of Poland Tech Week 2026 · Warsaw, 26-30 October. For fifty years, solving the structure of a single protein could take years of lab work. Then AlphaFold cut it to minutes, and its creators walked away with a Nobel Prize. The model was impressive, but the real story is the feedback loop: when a field can test an idea in minutes instead of years, it starts moving faster than any human team can follow. In 2026 the same thing happened to mathematics. A machine disproved an Erdős conjecture that had stood since 1946. Thousands of AI agents produced a claimed proof on Navier-Stokes in under four days. Peer review that took months now takes seconds in Lean, and an algorithm discovered by AI recovers 0.7% of Google’s entire compute. So which industry is next? Miłosz Sadurski, investment analyst at Kogito Ventures and Event Director of Warsaw Mathathon, maps how long the feedback loop is in software, chips, energy, drugs, materials and construction, what is holding each one back, and where it is about to collapse. At the end, a short word on Warsaw Mathathon, our attempt to shorten the loop for problems from other sciences.Part of Kogito & Friends @ Tech Cafe, a full-day pop-up with coffee, demos and the Kogito Ventures team.
